This is.... how I like to spend my weekend.

This weekend Mike (the boyfriend) and I took Zack & Kaya (the dogs) to my fathers house and then roadtripped up to Woodstock VT for a nice relaxing weekend alone. It was just perfect. The weather was unbelievable, the shops were adorable, the food was delicious and I feel 100% reinvigorated. I just love quaint New England towns... and this one reminded me more of Star's Hollow (from the Gilmore Girls) then the actual town it was supposed to be based on, Washington Depot, Connecticut. But I digress...

At a small shop on the edge of Woodstock, we found a store that I believe is called "Kazoo" (google is not helping me to confirm this, so its my best recollection). In this store I was introduced to the work of artist & storyteller, Brian Andreas.
Here is some of his work...

"someone asked them to be quiet, so it's just a matter of time before all hell breaks loose"

"In those days, we finally chose to walk like giants & hold the world in arms grown strong with love & there may be many things we forget in the days to come, but this will not be one of them."

"I used to believe my father about everything but then I had children myself & now I see how much stuff you make up just to keep yourself from going crazy."

And my two favorites...

"Everything changed the day she figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in her life."

"After she had that last big garage sale she floated off into the sky & I heard her say there was nothing keeping her here anymore & I was much more cautious about the stuff I got rid of after that. "
